A special show of the film Maatha directed by Vishwanath Buddhi Keerthisena was screened at the Regal Theatre yesterday. The Special Show was screened on behalf of disabled war heroes and in connection with the 3rd anniversary of liberating Elephant Pass Camp and the A-9 Road.
The Film Maatha has been produced based on the living activities of the people of the North who became destitutes due to terrorism and the humanitarian operation carried out by the security forces to liberate them from the clutches of the terrorists. The script of the Film has been written by the Director General of Government Information Professor Ariyaratna Atugala. aAgroup of veteran and novice actors have acted in this film.
Another special show of this Film will be screened at 3.00 p.m. today for the Media personnel and distinguished invitees at the National Film Corporation Theatre. (niz).
